We are an organization that provides individuals a nonjudgemental space, away from their everyday pressures and expectations. Where they can figure out what it is they truly want for their lives.
Once they have an idea, we help them create a plan to get from point A (where they are right now), to point B (where they most want to be.) After the plan is created the organization then holds them accountable through our green light accountability program. It is very important to the whole process that they decide what it is they want for themselves.
We are not here to tell anyone what there dreams should or shouldn’t be. We are simply here to ask the hard questions, share our own personal experiences and hold them accountable once they are ready.
If we as a species are going to make it out of this predicament we’ve come to find ourselves in we need to start doing something different. Blindly chasing after a piece of paper to consider ourselves successful is a broken paradigm.
Each and every one of us has our own individual wants, needs, hopes, fears and measurements of success. Modern day pathfinders is here to help you navigate these waters.
When we graduated high school everyone said follow your dreams. If you were a good student, teachers pressured you into going to college. If you were a strong athlete you where expected to take a athletic route. If you had nothing to offer "in the eyes of the authority" then the military was your only option.
Following your dreams was easy, as long as your dreams fit in one of their little boxes. The world is different now. The information that you have access to is unprecedented. Never in the history of the world has it been so easy to pursue one’s dream. The Finding Your Path program is an eight week online program for individuals who are in a transitional period, unsure of were to go next. The first four weeks of the program are all about figuring out what it is you want to do next. The second 4 weeks are there to help put togeather a plan step by step task by task exactly how your going to get there.
As you move through the program you will be tested. You will be forced to step out of your comfort zone by participating in our circle expanding homework. You will also spend time looking within while doing the soul-searching homework so that you may discover what it is you truly want.
The goal of the program is to help individuals pinpoint the exact things they want most.
Finding your Path is all about tuning into that voice within your heart and figuring out a way to let it out into the world so that you and everyone around you may benefit from it.
The Green Light Accountability Program is the nuts and bolts of how we operate as a dream accountability organization. Once our members have gone through the "Finding Your Path" program, and figured out what it is they want to do next, they have a plan on how it is they’re going to get there.
They then call us at 1-888-789-0512 and verbally ask us to join our Green Light Accountability Program.
From this point, we take the Michael Jordan approach to holding them accountable, by any means necessary.
The first dream I ever had was simple, I wanted to play football. As a six year old I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but the authority in my life at the time, my parents, thought differently. It became an epic six year battle between me and them. In those six years there were very few people who backed me up in my pursuit. One of my main supporters through it all was my Uncle John. He always believed in me and would constantly tell me that I could do anything I wanted in this life. He was a great man and I appreciate all he did for me. For that reason, and in his memory, we have created the Raw Hyde scholarship program, named after his nickname John Raw Hyde.
Money should never be the deciding factor in achieving one's dreams. For that reason we offer scholarships for individuals who don't have the means to afford our membership fees. All we ask is that you show us why you deserve this scholarship. That is all, no rules, no boundaries, no guidelines. Write a paper, sing a song, make a video, do whatever it is that you are truly passionate about. Just show us why our time and energy with you will not be wasted. Our Dream as an organization is to help over 10 million individual dreams become reality. To do this we have created the Dream Investment Program. Where every year we will take 50% of our profits and invest them into the individual Dreams of our members. To be eligible you must be a member of Modern Day Pathfinders.
We accept application emails starting at the beginning of April, and we announce the winners at our annual Modern Day Pathfinders celebration in the fall. We ask that in your application email, you tell us what your Dream is, why we should invest in you, how you plan on achieving it, and what exactly you need from us to achieve it. Lafe Martyn is the founder of Modern Day Pathfinders. The idea for this organization came to him while he was on his own unique path, living his childhood dream of being a firefighter.
It was a feeling of arrival when he realized that his real life was so much better than anything he had imagined when he was a kid.
In that moment all the hard work, pain, and failure that he experienced washed away. It made all the sacrifice worth it.
When the moment passed the first thing he thought was that everyone should get to experience the feeling of worth and hope that comes when achieving one's dream. And that, my friends, was the birth of Modern Day Pathfinders.
